Designed, developed, and packaged by Survival Resources™, the PTSK-24004 Pocket Tin Survival Kit Plus™ was designed so you could easily carry our Pocket Tin Survival Kit™ along with some basic shelter items, water purification, a water container, a first aid kit, a flashlight, and an emergency survival guide. And all in a small pouch that can be worn on your belt, or stored in your pack. Available in an Orange, Black, or OD Green Pouch. The pouch measures only 6.5" wide x 4" high x 2.5" thick.

WHAT COMPONENTS ARE INCLUDED IN THE KIT?

We started out with our PTSK-24003 - Pocket Tin Survival Kit™.

For complete information on the PTSK-24003 - Pocket Tin Survival Kit, CLICK HERE. We then added additional shelter components, a complete water purification kit with a water container, a first aid kit component, a flash light, and an emergency survival guide. We then packaged it all in a durable belt pouch so you can easily carry it all with you. The following describes the additional components.

SHELTER & PROTECTION

This kit includes a 25' hank of parachute cord, which replaces the 10' hank normally included with the Pocket Tin Survival Kit. It is rescue orange, Type III, 7 strand, 550 Cord, made here in America by a certified U.S. Defense Department manufacturer. It's ideal for many survival purposes such as lashing to make shelters, etc. The shroud is made of continuous filament nylon. It has seven inner lines which can be removed and used for fishing line, sewing, making nets, lashing, or many other purposes. 550 lb. tensile strength. Made in USA.

The Adventure Medical Kits Heat-Sheet 2 Person Survival Blanket is 20% larger than other blankets. It features a bright orange stripe, an easy to spot universal distress color, and has survival and first-aid instructions printed directly on it. It is compact and reflects 90% of radiated body heat. It measures 96" x 60" unfolded and weighs 3 oz.

This Emergency Poncho is small and light, yet is more than adequate to protect you from the rain. Made of polyethylene with a roomy attached hood, they are full cut for proper fit and one size fits all. They measure 52" x 80" and are orange in color.

WATER COLLECTION & PURIFICATION

As a complete water purification component, we have included the AQUA-POUCH™ PLUS, Water Purification Kit which provides you with everything you need to purify contaminated water so you can stay hydrated. This kit includes a 1-Liter AQUA-POUCH™ (Designed & Developed by Survival Resources - see Water Containers, product 17201), 10 Chlorine Dioxide Water Purification Tablets (which are effective even against Cysts such as Cryptosporidium - Iodine & Chlorine are not), 5 Pre-Filters (to prefilter water before purification), a Pre-Filter Support Sheath (another item made exclusively by Survival Resources), as well as directions for use. FIRST AID

For the First Aid component, this kit includes the AMK Ultra Light .3 First Aid Kit. The tough lightweight outer bag is made of 1.3 oz. silicone coated ripstop nylon. It contains 8-2x2 Sterile Dressings, 2-Butterfly Closures, 5-1x3 Adhesive Bandages, 3-Knuckle Adhesive Bandages, 1- 1/2"x 5 yards Tape, 1-Moleskin, 3-After Cuts & Scrapes® Towelettes, 2-Antibiotic Ointment, 4-Ibuprofen(200mg), 2-Antihistamine, 2-After Bite Sting Relief, and 2-Safety Pins. Dimensions: 4.75" x 4" x 1". Weight: 2.5 oz.

FLASH LIGHT

This little powerhouse delivers a surprising blast of light given its compact size. The high output Xenon bulb will burn 3 hours, with a focused wide beam, on 2-AAA alkaline batteries. The convenient, built in clip allows you to attach it to your hat for hands-free illumination. Power: 14 Lumens. Dimensions: 3-1/4" x 1-1/8". 1.5 oz. Waterproof to 100 meters.

MISC. ITEMS

The Emergency Survival Pocket Guide provides quick information for outdoor safety and survival to include Preparing for an emergency, essentials, a survival kit and first aid kit. A section on Surviving in the Wilderness includes general survival procedures, evacuation plans, signaling, procuring water, being lost, navigation, shelter, fire, procuring food and special climates. It also includes a large section on first aid. Measures 4" x 6" x 1/8" thick.

KNIVES & TOOLS

The only knives and tools included with this kit are those contained in the Pocket Tin Survival Kit. These are the Folding Razor Knife and Folding Pocket Saw. Most people in the outdoors carry a knife of their choice. If you do not carry a knife, we can include a Gerber® L.S.T. Folding Knife in the kit for an additional charge of $20.00 (It will be packaged inside the pouch). The Gerber® L.S.T. Folding Knife was designed as a very lightweight, locking blade, pocket knife, which is often used for a mini survival kit container. This light, smooth, yet tough knife features a stainless steel drop point blade, half checkered fiberglass filled nylon handle, lock-back, and lanyard hole. Blade measures 2.56". Knife closed measures 3.5" and overall length open is 6.13". Height (at highest part) is 3/8" and width (at widest part) is 1". Weight: 1.3 oz. Note: we highly recommend that you check local laws to determine if the knife is legal in your location.

A sheet is included with directions for use of the Spark-Lite™ Firestarter and the Tinder-Quick™ Fire Tabs.

EMERGENCY FOOD

Because of minimal room, no emergency food has been included in this kit .
