Survival Kit in a Waterproof Case

Designed, developed, and packaged by Survival Resources™, the Survival Kit Pouch Plus™ is another innovative approach to packaging survival kits. We started with our very successful non-expiring Survival Kit Pouch™, and added those additional items, some of which expire, to provide a complete kit (minus food & water) which can easily be stored in a home, vehicle, plane, or boat. It is all packaged in an orange waterproof Pelican® Case making it easy to carry.

The major component of the Survival Kit Pouch Plus™ is the SKP-24007 Survival Kit Pouch™. It is an innovative approach to packaging survival kits. It is non-expiring, so it can be kept for years in a vehicle, plane, boat, cabin, or anywhere you might need a survival kit . WATER COLLECTION & PURIFICATION

As part of this kit we have included the AQUA-POUCH™ PLUS, Water Purification Kit which provides you with everything you need to purify contaminated water so you can stay hydrated. This kit includes a 1-Liter AQUA-POUCH™ (Designed & Developed by Survival Resources - see Water Containers, product 17201), 10 Chlorine Dioxide Water Purification Tablets (which are effective even against Cysts such as Cryptosporidium - Iodine & Chlorine are not), 5 Pre-Filters (to prefilter water before purification), a Pre-Filter Support Sheath (another item made exclusively by Survival Resources), as well as directions for use. FIRST AID

For the First Aid Component of this kit, we have added the AMK-Ultralight .7. A tough, lightweight outer bag is made of 1.3 oz. silicone coated ripstop nylon. Contents held by two (2) Aloksak Waterproof bags inside (certified by the US Navy as waterproof to 200'). Contains 4-3x3 Sterile Dressings, 4-2x2 Sterile Dressings, 2-3x4 Non-Adherent Dressing, 1-Conforming Gauze Bandage, 4-1x3 Adhesive Bandage, 3- Knuckle Bandage, 1-1/2"x10 yards Tape, 1- Swift Wrap Elastic Bandage, 8-Motrin®, 2-Antihistamine, and 2-After Bite® Sting Relief, 1-4"x7" Moleskin, 5-After Cuts & Scrapes® Towelettes, 3-Antibiotic Ointment, 1-Tincture of Benzoin, 3-Butterfly Closures, 2- Nitrile Gloves, 1-Splinter Picker Tweezers, 3-Safety Pins, and 1- Duct Tape. Dimensions: 7" x 6" x 1.5". Weight: 7 oz.

ADDITIONAL SHELTER/PROTECTION

For additional shelter/protection we have included the AMK Thermo-Lite® 2.0 Bivvy an ideal survival/emergency bag for day-hikes, backpacking, or larger survival kits. It is a year round sack ideal as a light weight replacement for your sleeping bag when temperatures are above 50º F. It reflects and retains up to 80% of radiated body heat. The Thermo-Lite non-woven fabric is waterproof and windproof while still producing an ultra light, warm weather sleeping system. It comes in an ultra light stuff sack that allows you to conveniently store the Thermo Lite 2.0 Bivvy before or after use. Measures 36" x 84" unfolded. Wt. 6.5 oz.

COOKING

For cooking, we have included a 16 oz. stainless steel mug, designed to fit over the end of a 32 oz. Nalgene bottle. The folding handles are long enough to use the mug for cooking and fold flat against the side for packing. We also included the Esbit® Emergency Stove which comes flat for easy packing. Made from a pliable galvanized, hardened steel, it can be bent into a stand-up stove and can be used multiple times. After it cools, fold it flat again and put it back in your kit. Folded flat it measures 4.5" x 3.5". It comes with three (3) Esbit® Heat Tabs.

FLASHLIGHT

Wanting something small and light, we selected the Princeton-Tec® Blast. This little powerhouse delivers a surprising blast of light given its compact size. The high output Xenon bulb will burn 3 hours, with a focused wide beam, on 2-AAA alkaline batteries. The convenient, built in clip allows you to attach it to your hat for hands-free illumination.

KNIFE

As an addition to the knives and tools included in the SKP-24007 Survival Kit Pouch™, We have included a Mora Clipper, fixed blade knife. You have your choice of a carbon steel blade, or a stainless steel blade. Note: we highly recommend that you check local laws to determine if the knives included in this kit is legal.

EMERGENCY FOOD

Again, no emergency food has been included in this kit. We find that many of our customers prefer to carry rations they have chosen. However, food collection items are included in the Survival Kit Pouch™. We would highly recommend that you also carry some water and food rations.

IN CONCLUSION

This concludes the contents of the SKP-24008 Survival Kit Pouch Plus™. As you can see, it contains more components than the normal survival kit. The Survival Kit Pouch Plus™ is contained in an orange waterproof Pelican® Case which measures 10-5/8" wide" wide x 9-11/16" deep x 4-7/8" high. It weighs 5 lbs. 13 oz.
